About Me

Hello, may name is Tama'ra and these are some of my graphic designs. This web site is also a class assignment and has some limitations to the size, so there will be more coming later. If you are in need of a graphic designer please send me an email through the contact button to the left and I will respond quickly. I am based in the San Francisco Bay area of California (USA), but service the whole United States via email and web site.

Where I get some of my inspiration for my designs is from the Native American culture and spirituality. My husband is from the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota and is Oglala Lakota Sioux. The Lakota peoples have very strong spiritual beliefs and they respect and honor all living things. Through this belief and way of life, we have chosen, brings us to a peaceful way of being as we walk through our life's journey. There are many talented artists within the Native community and through their designs helps to bring me to my own designs.

The designs that are to follow below and on the following pages are from my current class assignments from the 2008 fall semester at Laney College. My Native American influenced designs will be posted at a later date.

Designs Created in Adobe InDesign CS3

The first design to the left was a project assignment for my Adobe InDesign class. We were given certain criteria that we needed to follow from the client. We had do some research on the official web site for the client, but these were not given to the Sawdust Festival for use. I received an A on this project along with an A in my Digital Document - InDesign class at Laney College.

The second image is of a contrary expectation assignment for Roadkill Ice Cream. This assignment was completed for my Principles and Elements of Graphic Design class and was presented in front of my classmates. All of my classmates enjoyed this project along with myself. The caption at the bottom reads:

A vanilla flavored ice cream with nice chunks of grit, grime and a little bit of oil through out. Of course to add the red blood after the splat, we added red cherry jubilee! Look in your grocers freezer for Sunny Select’s Road Kill Ice Cream.

Please keep in mind that this is in no way any representation of Sunny Select's products and I eat and enjoy their ice cream!
